Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers is a series of therapy sessions (on Count Me Out you can hear a woman saying session number 10, as in the 10th therapy session and also the 10th track on the album) and throughout the album Kendrick keeps tap dancing around the important issues (thats the reason why almost every track has tap dancing on it and Kendrick even says on We Cry Together stop tap dancing around the conversation) until the end of the album where he finally talks about these important issues and heavy traumas (Auntie Diaries, Mr. Morale, Mother I Sober) and with the final track he talks about choosing personal growth and family instead of being the rap saviour people wanted him to be and thats also why he hasnt released music in 5 years. This also explains the cover: why hes with his family and also wears the crown of thorns painting him as the rap saviour.
