after seeing mexaveli's thread, i decided to make one where we share records which we felt that should get more attention than what they have... i'll start off with this gem:
recommended listen if you dig them old Three Six vibes and El-P's experimental sounds.

i noticed Denzel Curry got more attention this year with his "Imperial" project but this shit is severely underrated IMO:

So i finally got to checking this dude out today.. I was left impressed and confused.. I started off with mista thug isolation.. And the production is incredible I really fuck with it. As a rapper he's mehh.. Some shit was dope.. some shit was very cringe worthy.. On this album he sounds like a white guy rapping in a three six cadence over krit beats.. Some of these beats are so nasty. But I was left thinking like him rapping over them was almost a waste of the production at times lol... Not that he's terrible.. There is some gems on there.. But the production exceeded the artist. But I seen the potential and I was going into oblivion access hoping he would grow as a rapper.. To my surprise he really did! However he completely switched his style and his production style.. He's no longer rapping in that three six cadence.. And the production is more dark experimental than southern playalistik... Now it's not bad by any means. It actually suits him WAY better.. But everything I previously liked about him has been thrown out the window lol.. If I were to listen to this album without knowing who it was I wouldn't think it was the same guy who made mista thug isolation. He's not rapping about southern pimp shit any more.. He's rapping about dark shit, inner conflicts... I fuck with it.. But if someone played me this album without telling me anything I would think it was a new cage album.. From the production to his voice and delivery to what he's rapping about.. This sounds like a cage record. I'm really just not sure who lil ugly mane is any more.. But I do like him and as a whole I like oblivion access WAYYYYY more than I like mti.. But the production on mti was WAY better.. I am looking forward to hearing some more from him though..
